What Is Christianity? (PART 3)
We continue with our series that asks "What Is Christianity?" for non-believers who are wondering what makes the Christian faith unique when compared to all the other religions in the world. For believers, this will be a good review in apologetics since, lately, I've been struck by the need for good, sound Biblical teaching on many subjects central to our shared faith. It's not just the lost who are looking for answers in this life. Many Christians want to know what the Bible has to say about God and other pressing issues, but they fail to go to the source, and prefer to rely instead on public opinions rather than the Word of God to shape their worldview. What is Christianity? Well, it's not about a religion, it's not about going to church on Sundays, it's not about being a 'good' person, it's not about following a lot of rules, it's not about some so-called 'out of date' ideals, it's not even about wearing sandals! Not to make light of a very serious issue, but I want to shatter the misconceptions about what it is. So, what is Christianity all about? It's about the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and being able to have a personal relationship with the very Creator Himself. What is Christianity? It's the only way to know God as He intends, and to live for Him. Today, we'll review another aspect of that definition, and it's the one that says...CHRISTIANITY PROCLAIMS WHAT GOD HAS DONE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST TO MAKE POSSIBLE MEN AND WOMEN'S RECONCILIATION TO GOD.
